(Delray Beach, FL – June 4, 2014) Caffé Luna Rosa, Delray Beach’s favorite beachfront restaurant, donated $1,000 to Steve Weagle’s Ride for the Red Cross last Friday. The popular weatherman from WPTV stopped by over the lunch hour, accepted the check live during the News Channel 5 noon broadcast, before peddling to his final fundraising stop in Boca Raton.

Caffé Luna Rosa partners Bonnie Beer and John Gergen presented the check on behalf of the restaurant’s owners and staff. They were joined at the event by Jennifer Durrant and Laura Golden from the American Red Cross.

Funds raised by Steve Weagle’s annual “Ride” to benefit the American Red Cross will be used to help educate local residents on preparing for hurricane season.
