In December of 2005, the McAteers, along with their three children, packed up for a new adventure in Raleigh, N.C. where Kevin was starting a new job as vice president of sales and marketing for Concord Hospitality.  Five months later, with their support system back home in New Jersey, their lives were changed forever when Pamela was diagnosed with cancer.
