Follow on Google News | First Ever Intrapreneurship Benchmark Survey Announced on InnovationNew Annual Survey by Craig Rhinehart Announced to Better Understand Why Large Organizations Struggle to Commercialize Their Own Innovation
By: Craig Rhinehart Multiple studies have shown that organizations are increasingly dependent on new innovation for revenue growth. Innovation is an essential driver of organic growth for all companies regardless of size, sector or geography. Despite their ability to innovate, many organizations actually struggle to bring their own organic innovation to marketand not enough is known about the reasons why. The American Heritage Dictionary defines an intrapreneur as “a person within a large corporation who takes direct responsibility for turning an idea into a profitable finished product through assertive risk-taking and innovation.” The intrapraneurship survey is the first of its kind and it will benchmark the innovation commercialization process as well as explore the reasons for failure of past commercialization efforts. “Ninety-one percentof companies believe innovation is a top strategic priority,” Rhinehart said. “It is amazing then, that only 39 percentof the same companies consider themselves good at commercializing new products or services. With such a large performance disparity, this research is necessary. Benchmarks are needed to better understand the problem.” The First Annual Intrapreneurship Benchmark Survey on Commercializing Innovation is available now and can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/ About Craig Rhinehart He has spent his professional lifetime building businesses and bringing innovative products and solutions to market – including being involved with 8 acquisitions totaling over $2 billion.
