When Tony Watson first approached Premier Records founder and Artist Relations Director, Laura Patterson, she knew that Watson had a special song that just had to be shared with the masses. Everybody has a job, gets up for work each day, fights the traffic and dreams of brighter more fun filled days. This is the identifying message that this song delivers, I Want To Escape Down The Interstate! said Laura Patterson that contacted Tony Watson with the offer to sign him to her new artist management company, Star One Entertainment and help get the song to radio. The very first week the song hit #1 on the Top 50 Rock Chart for National Airplay. It also crossed over to #13 on the Adult Contemporary and # 39 on the Country Charts.
