WASHINGTON - June 1, 2014 - PRLog -- In a continued commitment to engage, educate and politically empower every woman the Political Institute for Women will host Advocacy 101, Fundraising for Advocates, Campaign Strategy 101 and Political Fundraising Fundamentals in Spanish during the first week of each month starting in June 2014. The organization has hired Maria Baez de Hicks, an Arkansas based political consultant and activist, to instruct these courses via webinar in Spanish.

“Being a woman of color, I’m acutely aware of the limited political education resources available to women of color. In recent conversations with Hispanic colleagues it became clear to me that there was need there that we could fill. Offering our fundamental courses in Spanish could make a tremendous difference. We are fortunate to have someone of Maria’s experience and passion as our lead instructor.” --- Kimberly Mitchem-Rasmussen, Political Director/Founder of the Political Institute for Women

The first session in Spanish will be Advocacy 101 on June 6, 2014 followed by Campaign Strategy 101 on June 30, 2014 with a course fee of $100.
