Follow on Google News | People TV “Got Da Blues” Benefit ConcertBy: People TV, Inc. People TV is Atlanta’s non-profit, free speech public access cable station. It is an oasis of opportunity for Atlanta residents desirous of learning, producing and presenting television programming. There is no place like People TV in the city, and our funding is about to lapse. That’s why we invite you to attend the People TV “Got Da Blues” Benefit Concert featuring Mudbone Turner’s Blues Band. Mudbone is a singer/songwriter, drummer and has been a consummate performer of the popular Chicago blues style for over 20 years. With his raspy voice and large brim hat tilted to the side, Mudbone takes the blues, sometimes adding saxophones and harmonica to the basic string band, and creates that unforgettable foot-stomping Chicago blues sound. Also appearing will be The SANA Band, Jock Webb and Clarence Bluesman” Davis. People TV, airing on Comcast Channel 24, has been serving the residents of the City of Atlanta and its community for nearly 30 years. We train students of all ages to produce state of the art media, while also effectively enhancing their communication skills and their competitive job skills. We partner with non-profit agencies to broadcast their message and mission. We give everyone who qualifies the opportunity to learn and become actively involved. We provide 24 hour programming on the air and over the worldwide web. “People TV is a rare and wonderful place,” says PTV board member and Emmy Award winning journalist Maynard Eaton. “It is the city’s quintessential media laboratory.” Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
