Citi Fraud: Citigroup accused of Misappropriation of intellectual property

May 5, 2014 - PRLog -- A lawsuit was filed today against Citigroup, one of the largest national banking institutions in the country seeking millions of dollars in damages, for misappropriation  of property created by plaintiff Scott Einiger.  Einiger is a prominent healthcare attorney in New York and counsel to the NY County Medical Society.

Einiger was retained by Citigroup for over a year through a third party (Zero Chaos) acting on its behalf to develop a niche healthcare banking program ultimately entitled Citi On Call and trademarked by the bank.

According to the legal papers filed in court today the bank is alleged to have acted fraudulently and in bad faith deceiving Plaintiff and taking his unique intellectual property, ideas and concepts without properly compensating him.

Said Plaintiff''s counsel Ken Kutner, "the contract entered into between my client and Citigroup through its own controlled third party is unequivocal.  The legal action filed today was a last resort after months of attempting to resolve the matter in good faith.  We  will establish my clients role in developing Citi On Call and his entitlement to be properly compensated by the bank  for his efforts".

Citigroup worked extensively with Einiger first designating an interdisciplinary banking team in NY to test his ideas within the medical industry.

According to the Plaintiffs  allegations, after a beta testing period was successfully completed, and the Citi On Call program was adopted, banking teams across the country were trained and incorporated in the newly developed program created by Einiger.
