Morris County's Favorite Son Andy Main Wins Victory in His own Backyard

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - May 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Mennen Arena in Morris County, New Jersey was the setting for a great night of fights recently.Cage Fury Fighting Championships 34 was held there on April 19th.  This was the first CFFC event to take place in northern New Jersey and the hometown crowd came out in droves and was not dissapointed by the result in the co-main event of the evening.  Morris County native Andy Main fought New Yorker Brian Kelleher.

Main is a true veteran of the sport.  He has competed on the Ultimate Fighter reality television program and has over ten professional fights.  His previous two fights have been in the far off land of Japan.  While the birthplace of Pokemon and Sushi is a nice place to visit, Andy's next fight was to be a little closer to home.

Main started off well on the feet and it quickly became clear that his opponent wanted to take the fight to the ground.  Kelleher showed some nice wrestling and took Andy down.  In short order Main locked up a triangle choke and worked for his finish.  Andy secured his position and latched onto one of Kelleher's leg to prevent the slam.  Not to long after protecting himself from the slam Andy got the tap.  Morris County MMA was standing tall that night.

Main's teammate Claudio Ledesma was also on CFFC 36's fight card that night.  Ledesma came out swinging and ground his opponent down until he finally finished him with a guillotine in the third round.
