-- Exelis has decided to name its services spin-off Vectrus, which be a new independent firm with revenues of about $1.5 billion.
David Melcher, president and CEO of Exelis, said Vectrus will work to “build on a legacy of delivering infrastructure asset management, logistics and supply chain management services, as well as information technology and network communication services, to U.S. government customers worldwide.”
He added that the spin-off will make Exelis better able to focus on critical networks, intelligence, surveillance and analytics, electronic warfare and aerostructures.
Kenneth Hunzeker, who has been the president and general manager of Exelis Mission Systems since April 2011, will lead the new 7,000-employee business.
