Mike’s Consulting Inc. changes name to North Star NP

ST. PAUL, Minn. - March 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Mike’s Consulting, Inc. has changed its name to North Star NP.

Owner Mike Schak and staff have been providing software training, human resources, information technology, payroll, bookkeeping and accounting services to nonprofits in the Twin Cities since 2000.  Mike explained that the transition to the new name of North Star NP came about as he re-envisioned the best way to provide integrated solutions across the Twin Cities nonprofit and faith based organizations.  Mike says, "With the changed economy, nonprofits have adapted to the reality of reduced funding and are familiar with operating with limited staff and delegating important tasks outside of a staff member’s areas of expertise.  For example, assigning complex financial or technical tasks to a staff member whose passion is focused on helping others not only places stress on the employee, it also poses a risk if the work is incorrect or incomplete.  Results can include inefficient operations as well as costly financial and legal consequences for the organization.  Securing an outside vendor with a staff knowledgeable about running business services allows nonprofits to keep their talent focused on the mission."

Mike affirms that all previously offered services in accounting, bookkeeping and technology support would continue with the addition of more services, greatly benefiting the missions and agendas across nonprofits serving and operating in the greater Twin Cities.  Expanded services include website hosting and development as well as communication and creative services such as content development, video production and photography.
