This project comes under the umbrella of Iberostar Chef, a new concept bringing top Spanish chefs to the gastronomic stage at the hotel in Santa Cruz, Tenerife. Maria Jose San Roman is the owner of the Monastrell restaurant in Alicante, and created a culinary offering with extra-virgin olive oil as its main feature. Monastrell is known for the quality of its products, its use of locally sourced ingredients, and the skill of San Roman – as well as its Michelin star, which it gained in November 2013. Says Oscar Gonzalez, Iberostar’s Director of Marketing for Europe: “This project has been a step further in the commitment we maintain to offer the best of gastronomy to our guests.
