CAMBRIDGE, U.K. - Feb. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Leading edge software innovators Real-Status has launched its real-time 3D modelling software, called Hyperglance, on to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) marketplace.  With the massive growth in cloud computing, the launch of this software promises to streamline the multitude of tasks and overheads associated with monitoring and managing cloud services.

Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) service allows organisations to quickly deploy cloud services at a relatively low cost and, as such, the growth in cloud services deployed on AWS has been phenomenal.  While AWS does not disclose precise figures, Werner Vogels, Amazon's chief technology officer said, back in May 2012, that "hundreds of thousands of businesses in over 190 countries" were using it.  It is also estimated that one third of Internet users visit an Amazon Web Services cloud site daily.

While the AWS low-cost elastic computing model provides recognised business benefits, the proliferation of AWS installations and its associated services by an organisation will provide its own challenges.  Keeping track of costs and understanding connectivity between Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Availability zones and regions can be perplexing even for the most diligent administrators.  Understanding these challenges and witnessing the growth in distributed computing, Real-Status has developed software that allows companies to see and manage their entire AWS estate from one single 3D view.  The software, launched on the AWS market place today, shows connectivity, status and data for up to 1,000 AWS instances.  Further, application data can be drawn in through its seamless integration with Nagios.

Les Fraser, CEO of Real-Status said ‘We are delighted to have launched Hyperglance on Amazon.  This partnership between our IT visualisation technology and Amazon’s cloud services is really powerful.  In doing this, we have provided a low-cost but powerful solution for the problems faced by companies wanting to manage their cloud services efficiently and more cost effectively.  We are also in the latter stages of development of Hyperglance for Openstack and hope to announce its launch in the coming months.’

Real-Status has launched Hyperglance with options for 250, 500, and 1000 instances as well as a free trial option for 25 AWS instances.  To find out more please go to the AWS Marketplace.
