Brooklyn False Arrest Attorney Files Action on Behalf of Alourdes and Chekina TemaVictims of a Brooklyn False Arrest filed their Complaint in Brooklyn Federal Court on February 10, 2014
Allegations Within the Complaint In the late afternoon of January 26, 2014, Alourdes Tema was informed that numerous NYPD officers were in the front of the family home slamming her son's head into an NYPD patrol car. When Alourdes approached the officers and objected to the physical assault of her 22 year old son, she was punched in the head by an NYPD agent and then arrested. While this episode was unfolding, Chekina Tema also came outside to witness her brother being phsically assaulted by NYPD members and tried to console her mother who was crying hysterically. Chekina then went inside to get her iPad hoping to capture the injustice on video. Once back outdside, armed with her iPad, an NYPD officer announced, "Arrest her too," and Chekina and her mother were both taken to the 69th Precinct for processing. At arraignment, the Temas learned that that had both been charged with violating NY PL§§ 195.05 and 240.20, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Disorderly Conduct. At arraignment, both matters were adjourned in contemplation of dismissal. Once released, Alourdes Tema went to Kings County Hospital where she was prescribed a CAT scan regarding the punch in the head she received from an NYPD officer. Michael J.
