OneHope's Hazel Hoskins: Not just “Sitting There”

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - Feb. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- As her husband celebrates his 70^th year of ministry, Hazel Hoskins also picks up a pen to reveal the hidden tales of her life a missionary and the wife of evangelist and preacher, Bob Hoskins. In “…And I Sat There”, Hazel Hoskins wisely and wittily shares the struggles and triumphs she faced on the field during more than half a century of traversing the globe.

“You cannot read mom’s dynamic renditions of the mighty hand of God on her and dad’s life and ministry without having your faith bolstered,” said OneHope President Rob Hoskins. “I am thankful for their legacy, and pray to be as obedient and faithful as they have been spreading the Gospel.”

Never being content to just “sit there” and watch life go by, Hazel pens some of her favorite recollections of life abroad with a sprinkling of humor and a rich, melodious descriptiveness that instantly transports you to the luscious jungles of Africa or the war-torn city of Beirut.

“We have always trusted that God would go ahead of us and prepare the way,” writes author, Hazel Hoskins. “But to actually walk down the path, then turn and look back to see the dangers He kept us safe from is a faith-deepening experience.”
