Jhurmutt has purposely stayed away from advertisements, not wanting the site to become slow and cluttered by ads that take up more real estate than the core functionality. This also allows Jhurmutt to treat the personal data of its members with the respect and privacy it deserves. Jhurmutt does not mine personal data to create targeted advertisements, and has no need to sell it to others for that purpose either.
