Took home Best Value Award, having performed well in the review and boasting a very friendly price. “The Safety 1^st Clic-It! did very well during our testing and yet sells for an affordable street price of about $60,” Dr. Spurrier details, “The Clic-It! only offers click-in compatibility with Cosco, Eddie Bauer or Safety 1^st car seats; when paired with those seats it offers stellar performance.

The testing process included extensive hands-on testing combined with lab tests to examine specific performance elements. For example, in hands-on testing the products were compared and rated while maneuvering through crowded supermarket aisles,  busy sidewalks, and cafes. All products were repeatedly folded/unfolded and loaded into the backs of cars and SUVs. Various brand car seats were tested each frame to gauge ease of attachment and security of connection. Practical day-to-day features like storage and parent trays were considered in everyday use scenarios. Lab tests included safety tests such as tip-over testing, detailed brake examination, and an obstacle course that provided a maneuverability torture test over various surfaces. Each product was scored on five distinct rating metrics, which informed an overall performance score for each product.
