Code For Kids Set to Inspire Toronto's Youth This February

TORONTO - Jan. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Code For Kids, a not-for-profit organization that aims to teach children aged 7-13 the basics of coding, technology and design, is pleased to announce their first Toronto event: an introduction to HTML and CSS, to be held February 22, 2014 at Shopify Toronto.

“It’s great to be expanding into the Toronto market; we’re really looking forward to inspiring the city’s kids with code”, says Julian Nadeau, Director and Co-Founder of the organization. With help from program and title sponsor, the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), as well as Google and Shopify, the organization has already held successful events in Ottawa and Montreal. This will be their first Toronto event.

“We believe the skills and knowledge that we share with kids will allow them to better understand the technologically-rich environment they’re growing up in”, says Nadeau, “We want to give them the ability to help shape their world in a creative way”.

The event will run two-to-three hours and registration will be available soon, with tickets priced at $29.
