Manhattan False Arrest Attorney files Claim on Behalf of Client RJ in Southern District of New York

NEW YORK - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Manhattan False Arrest Victim, RJ, has filed his false arrest Complaint in federal court. Allegations within the Complaint are as follows:

Allegations Within Federal Court Filing:

Fifty-nine year old RJ was heading home after work and boarded a southbound subway train at 68th Street and Lexington Avenue, NY, NY. Upon boarding the train, RJ was pushed by NYPD Officer Rosario into NYPD Detective Cordes. Soon thereafter, RJ exited the train and was followed by the aforementioned NYPD agents - then arrested under the false premise that he had pushed his groin against a mystery thrid party complainant. The NYPD caused RJ to be criminally charged with forcible touching, PL 130.52 and Sexual Abuse in the third degree, 130.55.

As a result of the completely false allegations and criminal charges levied against him, RJ retained criminal defense lawyer Michael J. Redenburg to represent him in Manhattan Criminal Court. Because the ADA assigned to the case would not listen to reason, a criminal court trial was required. At the criminal court trial, the mystery third party complainant did not appear as a witness. The NYPD agents testilied and RJ testified on his own behalf. After a one hour and forty-five minute bench trial, The Honorable Patricia Nunez ruled that RJ was acquitted and the matter was dismissed and sealed.

RJ seeks damages for the suffering of an unlawful detention, loss of liberty, emotional distress, fear, anxiety, humiliation, embarrassment, degradation, damage to his reputation; his relationship with his children and wife suffered and he suffered economic loss in the form of lost earnings, legal expenses and is currently seeking professional mental health help.
