Procurement Fraud Master Classes to open in Singapore and Johannesburg
The Global Procurement Fraud Tour 2014 kicks off in Singapore on the 26th to 28th March 2014 and Johannesburg on the 31st March to 2nd April 2014.
The Global Procurement Fraud Tour 2014 will be held in six different countries next year and it kicks off in Singapore on the 26th to 28th March 2014. The succeeding countries where the event will be held are: South Africa, Hong Kong, Ghana, Brazil, and Dubai.
Upon the conclusion of this event, the delegates will be able to have an understanding of the existence of fraud within the procurement lifecycle. It will help the delegates identify what processes will companies need to have to be able to assess and then prevent or reduce the risk of procurement fraud.
According to Thomas Ooi, Project Director at Neoedge, “This event will provide the delegates with the clear policies and procedures which they need in order to implement as they go back to their organizations. The Global Procurement Fraud Tour also comes with a desktop aide memoire containing the complete information of the course.”
“We are very excited about this tour which we conceptualised to benefit all procurement managers, purchasing officers, internal audit managers and everyone that is involved in the supply chain management process to detect and mitigate procurement fraud.”, Ooi added.
The overall facilitator of this tour will be the globally known Paul Guile from the United Kingdom. He is currently the Global Procurement Fraud Advisor for the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
Guile also designs and leads CIPS’s global procurement fraud initiatives. He is an appointed fellow of CIPS designated by the FCIPS annotation and delivers CIPS certificated procurement fraud master-classes globally to both public and private sector organisations.
Paul wrote the e-learning package that was delivered to the Government Procurement Service in the UK Cabinet Office.
Agmat Ally, the Strategic Sourcing and Operational Purchasing Manager at Denel Aerostructures Ltd. in South Africa, a past delegate of this course shared: “The layout of the course content over the three days was perfect based on the amount of information covered. The presentation and facilitation of the content was excellent. Mr. Paul Guile is extremely knowledgeable on the subject and is indeed an expert in the field of Procurement Fraud. We have returned to the office and strengthened internal controls as well as implemented new policies and procedures and practices to assist in deterring procurement fraud.”
“We are expecting positive receptions in all the countries that we are scheduled to bring the course. To be able to gather and meet different procurement professionals from different industries and to be able to help them detect, prevent and investigate procurement fraud in their companies, will be our greatest reward.”, Ooi ended.
