Popular Gumball Rally to Pit-Stop at Zephyrhills Winter AutoFest in February

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Jan. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- With tens of thousands of automotive enthusiasts converging on Pasco County and Festival Park for Zephyrhills Winter AutoFest, February 20-23, 2014, the final day of event weekend will see even more excitement via the American Gumball Rally.  In addition to the swap meet, car corral and jam-packed two-day collector car auction, the rally will welcome drivers, cars and a TV crew from Velocity Channel’s popular Corvette Nation program.

Winter AutoFest is Pasco County’s largest four-day gathering annually and draws an international audience, snowbirds and large amounts of Tampa Bay area residents for a get together of all things automotive.  Guests can buy, sell and trade cars, trucks and automotive pieces and parts, all while enjoying a unique automotive camaraderie known exclusively to events like Winter AutoFest.  Best of all, with guests flocking to the grounds for the final day of Winter AutoFest, they’ll not only be able to snag some last minute deals within the swap meet and car corral, they’ll also be able to check out one final pit stop for the American Gumball Rally.

The American Gumball Rally hosts events in four different states, Florida, California, Illinois and Michigan.  The Gumball Rally isn’t a road race, rather it’s a road trip.  Teams of drivers enter their cars, trucks or motorcycles to cruise from point to point across a designated route.  Each stop has something special lined up for participants upon arrival.  What started as an annual get together in Michigan as part of the popular Woodward Dream Cruise has grown exponentially to include multiple states, multiple cars, drivers and check points.

In addition to stopping at Festival Park (arrival time TBD), the Florida portion of the American Gumball Rally includes stops in Key West, Miami, the Everglades, Punta Gorda, Orlando and Daytona.  The final stop in Daytona will also occur concurrently with the running of the Daytona 500.  All along the run, a production team from Velocity Channel’s Corvette Nation program will be filming.  Once on grounds at Zephyrhills, Corvette Nation and the onsite guests can meet and interact with drivers, experience over 50 exotics, classic cars, muscle cars, trucks and motorcycles.  The cars, trucks and bikes will be on display and the entire experience is included with the $10 event admission.
