Jan. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Gin is the basis of nearly all classic mixed drinks, and has been made further famous by Ian Fleming and his James Bond.  In acknowledgment of this popularity, Man of the Hour magazine has released their full list of gin-based mixed drinks, complete with full recipes and a little information about the history of gin.

         Gin is derived from the juniper berry, an evergreen plant that gives this alcohol its distinctive taste.  The word gin comes from the word genivere, which is French for juniper.  Of all the gin recipes, the most classic has to be the martini, but this article also includes some great instructions for the Gin Fizz, the Aviation, and the Fresh-Squeezed Salty Dog.  All are great, easy to learn recipes that will impress your friends with your mixology skills and make even 007 proud.
