Tickets for the 29th Annual Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival are Now Available

Jan. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Lowcountry connoisseurs and foodies of all kinds are in for a real treat when the 29th Annual Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival kicks off on Monday, March 10. The week-long celebration, sponsored in part by Land Rover Hilton Head, a premier Land Rover dealer near Hilton Head, will feature major wine and food personalities, along with award-winning wines and some of the finest cuisine that attendees will find anywhere.

The Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a one-day, three-hour wine tasting event. With a week full of special events, seminars, tastings, and demonstrations, the festival draws attendees from across the U.S.

This year’s festival will feature special guests Eric Asimov, renowned wine critic from The New York Times, as well as Southern Plate food blogger Christy Jordan. Asimov will be present at the Grand Tasting, and autographed copies of his book How to Love Wine: A Memoir and a Manifesto will be available. Jordan will be joining the Public Tasting event, where signed copies of her book Come Home to Supper will be on sale.

Produced by Hilton Head Wine & Food, Inc., a nonprofit corporation, proceeds from the festival’s Grand and Public Tastings wine auction will benefit the John & Valerie Curry Educational Scholarship Fund, which supports college students who are pursuing degrees in the fields of hospitality and tourism. Scholarships are currently offered at the Technical College of the Lowcountry and University of South Carolina Beaufort.
