HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Dec. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- -- The Mirror Theater Company will present an evening of non-stop fun and nostalgia celebrating The King of Rock n Roll and sure to leave you singing and dancing in the new year. ‘Elvis Is In The Building: Remembering The King and His Music,’ opens Friday, January 3rd and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. through January 26th. Elvis Is In The Building: Remembering The King and His Music features five original one-act plays, one original monologue and several song and dance numbers. The dream child of director Stacy Ann Raposa, Elvis In The Building, features music from the early Elvis years with several songs, including "Jailhouse Rock," "Hard Headed Woman," "Surrender," "The Wonder of You," and five original short plays.

Director Raposa promises "a provocative and entertaining evening of theater with plenty of fun centering on one of the greatest icons of our time." When asked ‘Why this show, why now?’ Director/writer Stacy Ann Raposa says, "Elvis is The King of Rock and Roll! I've always wanted to do a show celebrating Elvis. Elvis was a huge part of my childhood. I was raised by parents and aunts who grew up in the 50's and were rabid Elvis fans. "

The ninety minute world premiere will be performed by the talented Mirror Theater Company members: Karen McClain, Breanna Carter, Daniel Kohl, Michelle Lambert, Nicole DaCosta, Alex MacNicoll, Elena Mae Spittler, Danny Menendez, Mieko Beyer, Abhi Katyal, Shauna Dunnigan, Dodd, Clarke McRae, Keith Staley, and Julie Raelyn.

The orginal short plays to be presented are: "The Sandwich" by Stacy Ann Raposa; "Careful What You Wish" by Andrew Thompson; "Ella" by Stacy Ann Raposa; "By Degrees" by James A. Bazinet; and "King For A Day" by Dodd.
