Follow on Google News | ![]() Julia Bradbury to open Practical Installer at Ecobuild 2014Prolific TV and radio presenter Julia Bradbury will open Plumb Center’s not-to-be-missed Practical Installer Arena, at Ecobuild 2014 in March.
By: Plumb Center Perhaps best known for presenting BBC1’s Countryfile, a show that attracts eight million viewers, other credits include BBC1’s Watchdog, which champions the cause of people living in fuel poverty, Animal Roadshow and Kill It, Cook It, Eat It. She is the former Los Angeles correspondent for GMTV. Practical Installer is one of Ecobuild’s most popular attractions. It is a unique ‘working’ showcase, which demonstrates how renewable and energy efficient products work, and the benefits for both installers and householders. This year, more than 15 of the industry’s top suppliers (including Baxi, Dimplex, Fernox, Glow-worm, Grant, Grundfos, Honeywell, JA Solar, Kingspan, Renusol, Trianco, Uponor, Vaillant, and Worcester Bosch) will demonstrate the latest technologies in the Arena. It will be split into four areas focussing on solar, biomass, heat pumps and water efficiency, so visitors can see these technologies working live and talk to MCS accredited installers for advice and information. Throughout the three days, Practical Installer will also offer advice on how initiatives like the Green Deal, the Renewable Heating Incentive (RHI) and Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) are making renewable technologies more affordable than ever. “We’re delighted Julia can join us because we’re very excited about our Arena and we can’t wait to show her and our customers what we have to offer,” said Simon Allan, Plumb Center’s Renewables Director. “Taking time off work is never easy but attending Ecobuild is an investment in the future. Green Deal is a year old and the domestic RHI is launching in the spring, which will both create great business opportunities for installers.” Installers can register for Ecobuild 2014 by visiting www.ecobuild.co.uk. The site also has lots more information about the show, and all the highlights from last year. End
