Nov. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- India is putting utmost efforts to evolve in terms of gender equality, financial equilibrium and so on. Recently, a solid move was made toward gender equality by launching India’s first women’s bank in Mumbai. This bank will symbolise female empowerment and would be the perfect tool to encourage female entrepreneurship. The idea behind this bank is to increase the financial stability amongst women and to lend them funds that can be utilised to establish their business.

The bank is planning to lend loans for all business ideas that women earlier left behind just because of lack of finance. They will finance everything starting from a catering service to a crèche. The women of India till now accounted to only 7.3% of the bank credit but with the advent of Bhartiya Mahila Bank, the sharp improvement is speculated.

The inauguration of this modern bank was done by our prime minister, Mr. Manmohan Singh in the kind presence of Ms. Sonia Gandhi. India has always produced female leaders but still a big portion of rural as well as urban India is still experiencing economical instability for women. The concept behind this Bhartiya Mahila Bank is to offer the right platform to women so that they can step out of their inhibited lives and exhibit their skills.

The product line of this bank would revolve around the women empowerment. The bank chairperson added that they will offer special loans for creche as it will add to the women employment and would also support working women as they will have proper child care facilities around. The bank is also planning to offer special loan for setting up highly efficient modern kitchen to reduce the cooking hassles.

There are many more branches to come and experts feel that it will surely bring out the change in the society.
