Kevin Buzek and Josh Melda, CFP®, began volunteering at Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland, Inc., years ago to help educate young people about business, economics and personal finances. Mr. Buzek started devoting his time to the program in 2009 to teach public school students the financial skills they need to be successful in life. Mr. Melda started volunteering in 1998 and now teaches at his daughter’s school in Fairview Park, OH.
“I picked Junior Achievement because I wanted to give back to our community. Focusing on financial literacy in the schools can really make a difference. I’m thrilled to be involved with an organization that’s devoted to teaching critical life skills,” explained Kevin Buzek (http://cedarbrookfinancial.com/

, Operations Manager at Cedar Brook’s Strongsville, OH office.
“I became a Junior Achievement volunteer in 1998 because of the organization’
s mission to teach financial literacy. The program allows me to use my expertise as a financial planner to teach children a variety of practical lessons from understanding what a checking account is and how to use it, to evaluating mortgages. It’s amazingly gratifying to see young adults get excited about learning when they understand the practical applications,”
said Josh Melda (
