GREENVILLE, S.C. - Nov. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- South Carolina businesses can turn to a new resource to help pave their way to success by boosting their employees’ abilities and productivity.

Phillips Staffing, one of South Carolina’s largest and fastest-growing staffing and human capital solution providers, has announced that Tim Duerr has completed all training and become the company’s third authorized WorkKeys job profiler, and one of only 20 in South Carolina.

Developed by ACT, a national non-profit testing company, WorkKeys consists of three facets: job profiling, which identifies key skills and skill levels required for specific jobs; skills assessments, which pinpoint current skill levels in up to eight areas, including applied mathematics, applied technology, listening, locating information, observation, reading for information, teamwork and writing; and targets for instruction, which guides training.

WorkKeys® job profilers have been trained and authorized by WorkKeys® industrial/organization psychologists. The profiling procedure is designed to systematically develop accurate profiles through a task analysis that is used to select the tasks most critical to a job, a skill analysis that is used to identify the skills and skill levels required at the entry level and for effective performance on that job, and skill ranking, which determines which WorkKeys® skills are the most critical to the job.

As WorkKeys Profiler, Mr. Duerr will work with organizations across South Carolina to profile their positions, focusing his time heavily in the manufacturing and logistics/distribution arenas.  Before joining Phillips Staffing as on Onsite Supervisor in 2012, he served as Research and Information Manager for Alliance Pickens, the county-chartered economic development organization for nearly a decade.  A native of Charleston, South Carolina and current resident of Clemson, he is married with two children.
