Brunsick's Most Expansive Opening Yet

Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Brunswick’s Buffalo Grove, recently had its grand opening in mid-October to the excitement of many in the metro-Chicago area. A 56,000-square-foot upscale bowling and entertainment center, it hosts customers in a premier atmosphere for family entertainment with food and beverage service. This new facility has 32 lanes with upscale decor, 10,000 square feet of arcade space, and a new custom laser tag arena by Creative Works (http://www.theWOWeffect.com). Creative Works has enjoyed working with Brunswick Corporation on their bowling centers since 2007, but they have an even longer relationship with the entertainment center in Buffalo Grove, IL.

Back in 2003, Creative Works constructed one of its earliest two-story laser tag themed arenas for Bill Feldgreber, managing partner of the eSkape Entertainment Center that occupied the same space. After many years of operating his entertainment center, Bill sold his business to Brunswick Corporation. Feldgreber is now Director of Sales in Illinois for Brunswick, and gave his feedback on the grand opening for the newly remodeled site.  "I did work with Jeff 10 years ago when he first started in the business, and he has done an amazing job. It is really cool to see how he has evolved his business. I really love how the arena fits with the Chicago themed entertainment facility. It's only been open a couple weeks, but the people coming in really love the facility," commented Feldgreber.

Creative Works created an iconic look for the newly remodeled bowling and entertainment center. The laser tag attraction features a custom Chicago-themed arena that immerses players in the middle of construction on the old "Windy City." Participants start on the Chicago subway to vest-up and exit the L train onto the streets of downtown Chicago. The Creative Works Theme Team incorporated actual Chicago landmarks such as Wrigley Field, Hancock Tower, and famous local street signs like the Chicago Theater sign and more. Authentic stoplights and enhanced LED lighting creates an amazing visual effect against the industrial girders and high-rising brick facades. Creative Works sent in their muralists to create the Chicago skyline against a beautiful fluorescent sunset to complete the experience. From concept to completion, this 4,000 square foot arena was an exciting challenge for Creative Works. "Attending the grand opening VIP party and hearing the comments on the new place and arena were wonderful," commented Jeff Schilling, President of Creative Works.  "Seeing people's faces and watching the fun they were having while playing makes it worth the hard work and passion we put into each of our products."
