Diamond From The Rough Launches Video Site to Reach Readers for New Book on Life Story

CALUMET CITY, Ill. - Nov. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Denise Jones, the author of ‘Diamond From The Rough’, has written a new and compelling book about her life involving poverty, incest, drug addiction, incarceration and lesbianism and how she found sobriety, spiritual redemption and eventually, inner peace.

Denise was born and raised on the West Side of Chicago, IL.  As a child, she was molested by multiple men, including family members.  Her life took a more dire turn when she dropped out of school at an early age and began a life of crime in order to support her newly formed drug habit.

Denise Jones described her evolution and what inspired her to write the revealing, and personal book; “Deep insecurity and inferiority, drug addiction and role confusion tormented me for many years. Often I wondered if I were a male or a female; if I were human or an animal. Who am I? What am I? Why am I?

After nearly 15 years of living this lifestyle, Denise is the founder and Executive Director of a nonprofit 501c3 organization.  Denise turned her life around and today she holds both a bachelor's and master's degrees.  She’s a certified HIV / AIDS and substance abuse counselor, as well as deliverance minister and an inspirational speaker, Denise currently travels speaking to audiences and promoting her book.

Denise offers inspirational and life-encouraging messages to people from all walks of life, and she is available to speak at events or conferences.

Denise invites people to read her story and know that it is never too late to make a change or a new impact on life. “Sometimes, you have to ‘step out’ of your comfort zone in order to ‘step up’ in life,” she added.
