Follow on Google News | Detectable Tags Now Ready NumberedThe Detectamet ID tag allows small traces of label and tag fragments to be detected and rejected during the food production process. By using them in a food factory the risk of food contamination is much reduced.
The tags are used throughout food processing facility to identify, log and manage equipment. In addition to the good housekeeping benefits they can help within the HACCP and traceability management systems especially now that they are available sequentially numbered. The tags help to fulfil the requirements of health and safety legislation such as LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) and PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998). For example they could be used to indicate when a piece of machinery is due for inspection and servicing. The label area is 88mm x 63mm (3 ½” x 2 ½”) and the strap is 190mm (7 ½“) long. So there is a generous area for writing notes or instructions and the long strap can be used to secure the tag around a variety of fastening points. Detectamet’s Permanent or wipe off marker pens can be used to mark the label area with instructions, and the sturdy fastening is able to lock the strap securely into the label. These metal detectable tags are supplied in four bundles of twenty five. The tags can be ordered in one of a range of eight colours so that specific colours can be used to mark specific applications or locations, or be used as task indicators. This ubiquitous product has many uses including: Store and security checking; equipment tagging; wire, cable and pipe work coding; machine isolation; drum, pallet and container tracking. All Detectamet products can now be engraved as required. End
