DESPITE 16 DAY GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN THE GOVERNMENT DEVELOPMENT CENTER CONTINUES ON A PATH OF EXCELLENCE

It’s business as usual with both the Government Services Administration and the Government Development Center.

Largo, FL – The Government Services Administration (GSA) was not affected by the government shutdown, and neither were our clients here at the Government Development Center (GDC).  Multiple clients were awarded GSA contracts during the shutdown.

The Government Development Center processed six different awards during the government shutdown. The six awards were in a variety of fields including Information Technology (IT) supplies and products, building materials and lighting, training and medical equipment and supplies to name a few.

During the shutdown we also had a diverse mix of incoming clients who are about to be awarded GSA contracts. The Government Services Administration (GSA) schedules program is funded separately as its own entity so it was not affected by the sixteen day shutdown. Having a GSA contract is important because it not only increases the client’s business, but it allows the government to purchase goods and services at the lowest possible price from its preferred vendors saving taxpayers a great deal of money.
