Wesley Bray to Present Eagle Scout Project

To earn the Eagle Scout rank, the highest advancement rank in Scouting, a Boy Scout must fulfill requirements in the areas of leadership, service, and outdoor skills.

Oct. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Shreveport, LA. Saturday, November 2, 2013:  Boy Scout Wesley Bray will present his Eagle Scout Project on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 3p.m. at the Summer Grove United Methodist Church, 9119 Dean Rd, Shreveport, LA 71118.  Wesley’s has crafted benches for the church’s soccer field.

Boy Scout Troop 97

Troop 97 is a member of the Norwela Council, Boy Scouts of America. Boy Scouting is a year-round program for boys around ages 11 – 17.  Through the Boy Scout Program, young men can achieve the core objectives of strengthening character, personal fitness, and good citizenship.  To earn the Eagle Scout rank, the highest advancement rank in Scouting, a Boy Scout must fulfill requirements in the areas of leadership, service, and outdoor skills. Although many options are available to demonstrate proficiency in these areas, a number of specific skills are required to advance through the ranks—Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and Eagle. To advance, a Boy Scout must pass specific tests that are organized by requirements and merit badges.
