He has written 25 novels and three non-fiction books: The Piano Teacher – The True Story of a Psychotic Killer; Badge of the Assassin, the true account of his investigation and trials of self-proclaimed members of the Black Liberation Army who assassinated two NYPD police officers, Waverly Jones and Joseph Piagentini – later adapted into a movie starring James Woods as Tanenbaum; and Echoes of My Soul, his signature masterpiece, the true story of one of the most intense manhunts in police history … and of the young District Attorney who exonerated the unjustly accused, brought the killer/rapist to justice and reformed forever law enforcement practices – published in May 2013 by Kensington Books. Publishers Weekly selected Echoes of My Soul as the “pick of the week” in its April 22, 2013 edition.
