Oct. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Army Wife Network (AWN), the leading site for Army wives by Army wives, empowers military spouses and families with the final installment of their signature series, Field Exercise™: Love Military Life at Fort Knox, Kentucky on November 7-8, 2013.

During the seminar-style interactive events, which are a partnership with Fort Knox MWR, a Field Exercise™ (FE) provides military life survival tips infused with a light hearted conversational tone, practical military family resources, networking opportunities, a complimentary meal, stuffed resource bags, and many giveaways. The “FE” team caters to the needs of the attendees with emotional support, connectional resources, and integrated installation services.

Attendee Salena Duffy had this to say about the Field Exercise at Fort Carson : “I had so much fun! I walked away positively challenged and more knowledgeable about my Army community. It doesn’t matter if you have been a part of the Army for 20 days or 20 years; this AWN team brings empowering tools and ideas that will guide you on how to navigate this adventurous way of life. I left feeling more equipped to help myself and other spouses. As Army wives, we should forever keep on learning how to be successful on this journey and this Team of wives can definitely show you how!”

The events feature the bestselling book, 1001 Things to Love about Military Life, authored by AWN Co-Founders Tara Crooks and Starlett Henderson along with Kathie Hightower and Holly Scherer. Before the FEs, all four authors will be together at Barr Library on November 6 at 6:30pm to discuss and sign their book. Books will be available for purchase at the library talk.

In these trying times with sequestration and government shutdown, being positive about military life can often be tough. Through proven methods of embracing a network of other spouses and organizations, Crooks and Henderson engage not just Army spouses through Love Military Life, but retirees, veterans and active duty members. Field Exercise™ events are FREE and open to all Branches. Childcare is available through the installation once a participant is a confirmed registered guest of Army Wife Network.

Registration for the FEs is ongoing now, although registration for childcare ends Friday, November 1. See http://www.ArmyWifeNetwork.com>>EVENTS for further details. There is no registration required for the preceding library event.
