NYC-Based, Universal Attractions Agency to Move Offices, Hints at Major Expansion Efforts

NEW YORK - Oct. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- New York based talent booking agency, Univeral Attractions Agency (UAA), announces their planned expansion and has moved their office to a 5,000 sq. ft. office space in Midtown West to do just that.  Co-owners, Jeff Allen and Jeff Epstein hint that UAA has big plans for the upcoming remainder of the year. Expanding to the entire 8th floor of 15 West 36th Street in NYC is just the tip of the iceberg of what the agency has in store in terms of expansion. The company plans to announce new hires, ventures, and clients in the upcoming months.

Jeff Allen, a true veteran of the business, represented James Brown for over 20 years and was the architect of the James Brown bond with David Pullman, which pulled in over 30 million dollars for “The Godfather of Soul”.  Jeff Allen is an agent to some of the biggest names in R&B and was responsible for the New Edition Tour of 2012, which, per Pollstar, was one of the top 50 grossing tours of the year. Packaging concerts is another area where Allen excels.  In the early 90’s, he created the 70’s Soul Jam which still performs today to sellout crowds at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and The Beacon in NYC, just to name a few.  He is also responsible for the New Jack City reunion, which went on to tour in over 50 markets.  Jeff Allen continues to create successful packages for theatres, casinos and sheds, with shows ranging from music to comedy. Allen remains responsible agent to Johnny Gill and The Heads of State featuring Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill & Ralph Tresvant.

Jeff Epstein got his start in the music business in 1994 at Focus Business Management / Sanctuary Music (Dream Theatre, Wasp, Iron Maiden, Buffalo Tom) and then went on to be an agent at Associated Booking Corporation (ABC) where he represented artists such as Anita Baker, BB King, The O’Jays, and Dr. John.  In 1996, Epstein joined Universal as an agent and helped expand the UAA roster to include gospel (Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, etc), jazz (Roy Ayers, Billy Cobham, etc) and hip hop (MC Hammer, Salt N Pepa, Naughty By Nature, etc).  In 2007, Epstein, along with Jeff Allen, purchased Universal from then owner Jack Bart.  From 2007 to today, Epstein has worked to continue the growth of the company and boasts a bourgeoning staff of 30 employees.  Epstein remains responsible agent to MC Hammer, Salt N Pepa, Bell Biv Devoe and co-RA to George Clinton & Parliament Funkaldelic and Mary Mary.
