Follow on Google News | City University London ranked top 5 in the UK for graduate starting salariesThe ranking comes from the first Lloyds Bank University Quality of Student Life Survey
City was joined in the top five by the London School of Economics (LSE), Cambridge, King's College, London and Oxford. Professor Paul Curran, Vice-Chancellor of City University London commented: "City has an excellent record for graduate employability and for the starting salaries which our students achieve. Our emphasis on academic excellence for business and the professions and the sector-leading employability initiatives run by our Careers Service both contribute to our graduates' successful transition to the world of work". The first Lloyds Bank University Quality of Student Life Survey found that the average starting salary for students leaving university across the country stands at approximately £21,000. The survey covered 91 institutions with data gathered from a number of sources, including the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and the Times Higher Education Supplement.
