East Coast Microwave Distributors Inc. Achieves AS9100 Rev. C Certification

WOBURN, Mass. - Oct. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- East Coast Microwave (ECM), a leading distributor of RF/microwave connectors, components, cable and assemblies, is pleased to announce its certification to AS9100 Rev. C Quality Management System (QMS) for Aviation Space and Defense organizations. Certification to this standard places ECM in a select group of world-class microwave industry suppliers that are registered to this rigorous Aerospace and Defense standard.

The AS9100 quality standard is based on ISO 9001, adding stringent requirements specific to the aviation, space and defense industry. Among other changes, revision C brings the standard in line with ISO9001:2008 and expands the scope of coverage to include land and sea based systems for defense applications.

The audit was completed by National Standards Authority of Ireland (NASI), New Hampshire, USA, a provider of third-party system registration and accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) under the Aerospace Registration Management Program, in accordance with SAE AS9104 A.
