Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition Participant Trina Miller to host Breast Cancer Charity Event

DETROIT - Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- - Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan is having a Breast-Cancer/Health Awareness event put on by Urban Exchange 91.5 FM radio station.  This is the only R&B and Hip-Hop radio station in the Mid-Michigan area as well as the only station on their campus. At the event, students, staff members, and local town residents will be more aware of how to prevent health risk while having the opportunity to support the cause by spreading the word of breast cancer.

The event  called “Play Like A Girl” will start with a seminar conducted by Trina Miller, called “Get Healthy, Stay Healthy” at 1:00pm at Pearce Hall Rm #128. The basketball game will take place at Central Michigan University’s Student Activity Center (SAC) on October 4, 2013 at 5:00 pm.

Trina Miller, a celebrity feature on ABC’s Season 3 Extreme Makeover- Weight Loss Edition, is a RN who conquered her weight  with the support of her coworkers “Team Trina”; going from weighing 290lbs to a current weight of 145lbs.  As a part of that show, she transformed from an overweight woman to becoming incredibly fit and avocating the importance of health.

All of the proceeds will go to Angel Wings, an organization dedicated to breast cancer developed by overcomers of the disease.
