Many Prestigious International Awards for Fine Art Photographer Marguerite Garth

Garth continues to reap multiple awards and acclaim for her evocative landscape photography.

LOS GATOS, Calif. - Sept. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Fine Art Photographer, Marguerite Garth, has been awarded the Julia Margaret Cameron Prize for women photographers.  Juror David G Hirsch chose from a collection of 387 women photographers from 62 countries who submitted 4,210 images, and he selected Garth, along with 11 other women artists.  She won this award in 2011 also. Garth was given a 1st Place in the Landscapes category and Special Mention by the Juror in the Nude category. http://www.call4artists.com/Comp_results_photograph.html

Garth won 1st Place in the Fine Art category and 3rd Place in the Landscape category in the 5th edition of the Pollux Awards by WPGA, juried by Julio Hardy and team.  In this edition, 320 photographers from 52 countries have submitted 1,920 images in different categories and sections. Previously, in the 3rd edition of the Pollux Awards, Garth was awarded Photographer of the Year.

The 2013 International Photography Awards received nearly 15,000 submissions from 103 countries across the globe. Marguerite Garth won two 3rd Place Awards and an Honorable Mention in the Professional Photographers category. The Foundation's mission is to honor master photographers, to discover new and emerging talent and to promote the appreciation of photography. Since 2003, IPA has had the privilege and opportunity to acknowledge and recognize contemporary photographers' accomplishments in this specialized and highly visible competition.  In previous years, Garth has won two 1st Place awards and numerous Honorable Mentions.

Marguerite Garth was honored with two portfolios featured in The Creative Quarterly No. 30 & 31 magazine, a double issue.  Creative Quarterly is geared towards bringing together the creative community and it asks the question: Where does your inspiration come from? The Creative Quarterly magazine is sold in bookstores in the U.S.A., Canada and the U.K. Garth’s work was published in the previous issue No. 29 and she will have a portfolio featured in issue No. 32, which will hit bookstores this Winter.

Every month Call 4 Artists selects at least 3 artists as "Artists of the Month" who will be invited to feature their work in their gallery and will be showcased on their homepage website that is visited by discriminating visual artists, collectors, gallery owners, and curators worldwide. And finally, Marguerite Garth has two exhibitions occurring simultaneously in mos. of September, October and November  in San Francisco.  Her work is being showcased at the China Brotsky Gallery, Thoreau Center for Sustainability, located in The Presidio of San Francisco, and is also being shown at the San Francisco Center for the Book Gallery.
