Roger Gray's first novel: Target Trojan

Roger Gray uses his experience of police firerarms tactics to construct his novel of revenge and terrorism

LEICESTSHIRE, U.K. - Sept. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Imagine a way to strike at our society in a manner that would be devastatingly effective, that would sap resources, manpower, reserves and resolve. How could a small maverick group, driven by fanaticism, hatred and a thirst for revenge exact such a terrible price?

Roger Gray joined the Metropolitan Police in 1968. He served with Londons Special Patrol Group and worked as a supervisor and tactical adviser within SO19 for the last seven years of his service. He's also carried firearms in Downing Street and been responsible for the protection of the late Margaret Thatcher. His biography, The Trojan Files, was serialised in The Daily Mail, The

Observer, The Sunday People, The Telegraph. Now Roger is launching Target Trojan, his first novel, which is loosely based on the realities of life a firearms officer. "I wrote Target Trojan to demonstrate the pressure and complexity of working as an armed police officer," comments Roger. "The book uses my inside knowledge of police firearms officers and tactics - I have controlled

hostage incidents where the hostage taker was shot and killed and I have had my own officers shot. I have at times been the firearms duty officer for the whole of the Metropolis."
