LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Sept. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- The Real Estate Venture Exchange appoints Regional Chair, names board members

LOUISVILLE (September 19, 2013)  – The Real Estate Venture Exchange, an organization formed to link  commercial real estate developers, professional investors and capital providers, has named its first Regional Chair. The organization also formally named its operating board of directors.

Thomas Breiner, senior vice president with Hays Companies of Indiana, has been appointed Regional Chair for Indiana.  REVE, founded in Louisville, seeks to bring together capital and projects that have roots locally, within the state or regionally.

“We’re extremely excited that Tom has chosen to share his expertise with REVE,” said Tony Holland, REVE president and VP-Investments for Poe Companies.  “He has a deep working connection with executives in the region, and I think his ability to identify and pursue real estate projects and investors will benefit everyone who is interested in engaging in real estate opportunities.”

Said Breiner:  “I think REVE is a wonderfully appropriate group for people involved in developing various real estate projects and for those who are seeking potential investment opportunities in Kentucky, Indiana and throughout the region.”

Breiner, the Property and Casualty Practice Leader for Hays Companies of Indiana, has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.  He represents Hays Property & Casualty operations with clients in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and other states.  His responsibilities include business development, risk consulting, client management and service, marketing and carrier relations. He is the former chairman of the Insurance Institute of Indiana.

Tom has worked in various capacities during his career with many real estate firms,  including Simon Property Group, Duke Realty, REI Investments, Kite Realty, Paul Kite Companies, Browning, Sitehawk Retail Real Estate, Colliers, MAC 1 Properties, Nuttcoh, Rock Bridge, Hillside Investors, and others.

Holland said plans call for additional REVE regional chairs in Ohio and Tennessee, as well as the launch of an online system providing members access to relevant real estate investment opportunities.

REVE is a professional organization that brings together commercial real estate owners and developers with prospective equity investors, lenders and capital providers. REVE’s first meeting in June attracted nearly 140 investors, lenders and service providers from the region to hear keynote speaker and PNC Bank regional president Chuck Denny, and real estate developers and others making capital pitches.

Executive committee

President -- Tony Holland, President of Real Estate Syndication, Poe Companies.

A Louisville native and Vandy grad, Tony grew Holland Tax Service and sold it to national chain Jackson Hewitt, and founded and divested a second tax firm. Since then he has been working in commercial real estate, and he joined Poe in early 2012.

Vice President -- Bob Ogden, President, Ogden Associates.  Bob founded Ogden Associates, Inc. after working with various financial organizations to turn around companies, finance leveraged buyouts and manage commercial loans. His advisory firm has served clients in a variety of industries.  He is one of the founders of the Louisville Venture Club and is the 1999 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Secretary -- Brian McChesney, VP,  Grandbridge Real Estate Capital LLC.   Based in Louisville, Brian is responsible for all aspects of originating, structuring, and placing real estate debt and equity transactions for clients.  With more than 25 years experience, he has been involved in more than $1.5 billion in transactions.  Prior to Grandbridge, Brian worked with AEGON USA Realty Advisors, Meridian Realty Investments, PNC and National City.

Treasurer -- Stephen M. Lukinovich, partner, Mountjoy Chilton Medley LLP.  Stephen is director of the Firm’s Construction & Real Estate Services Team and is a member of the Tax Services Department.  He provides tax advisory services to construction and real estate businesses, company transition services to small to middle market companies, and valuation services in estate and succession planning. He speaks frequently to groups on construction and real estate.
