IAQA Approves New Training Provider and Course Dates

By: Indoor Air Quality Association
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Sept. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) announced today the approval of Indoor Sciences, Inc. as an Approved IAQA Course Provider. Indoor Sciences has been approved to deliver the IAQA Indoor Environmentalist Course in both classroom and online formats by IAQA’s Education Committee.

To become an Approved IAQA Course Provider, a company must undergo a rigorous review process conducted by education professionals and industry peers of course materials, instructor qualifications, and other evaluation criteria. Among organizations providing IAQ educational courses, IAQA is one of the few that requires course providers to undergo such a demanding review process by a volunteer committee.

"The IAQA Education Committee is dedicated to approving top quality education," said Larry Robertson, CIAQP, chair of the committee. "Indoor Sciences is a well-respected, proven leader in the IAQ education market and we are thrilled to have the company among our select group of Approved Course Providers," Robertson added.

Indoor Sciences is a Chicago-based training and consulting company owned by Ian Cull, P.E. Mr. Cull is a dynamic instructor that is well known for explaining complex topics in straightforward language using examples from his IAQ consulting work, dating back to 1995.

"There is something for every student to learn, both beginner and advanced. Students will deepen their skills and knowledge on core concepts such as HVAC systems, building science, IAQ contaminants, health effects, assessments, equipment, remediation and industry standards", said Ian Cull. Indoor Sciences’ class offering includes a detailed exam review with practice questions to prepare students for certifications from the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC), including the Council-certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE) and Council-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC).

Indoor Sciences will be teaching the Indoor Environmentalist Course on October 15-16 in Chicago, IL and November 19-20 in Orlando, FL. The class is also available online, which involves watching a series of self-paced instructional videos.

Indoor Sciences joins a network of IAQA Approved Course Providers who deliver education for indoor environmental assessment, microbial inspection, mold remediation and related topics. It is anticipated that Indoor Sciences will seek IAQA’s approval to deliver additional IAQA courses later in 2013.
