UPSC Combined Defense Services Examination II 2013

DELHI, India - Aug. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) has issued a notice against recruitment for 509 various vacancies in IMA (Indian Military Academy), INA (Indian Naval Academy), AFA (Air Force Academy) and OTA (Officers Training Academy) through CDS (Combined Defense Services Examination II), 2013 (Including SSC Women Course). The registration for the exam closed on 24-06-2013. Posts Available:

1. Indian Military Academy (IMA): 250 posts
2. Indian Naval Academy (INA): 40 posts
3. Air Force Academy (AFA): 32 posts
4. Officers Training Academy (OTA, Men): 175 posts
5. Officers Training Academy (OTA, Women): 12 posts

Age Restriction

Single male candidates born, not before 02-07-1990 and not after 01-07-1995 can apply for INA, IMA posts, Single male candidates born, not before 02-07-1991 and not after 01-07-1995 can apply for AFA posts, male Candidates (Married or Unmarried) born, not before 02-07-1989 and not after 01-07-1995 can apply for OTA SSC Course for Men posts and Unmarried Women, widows and divorcees without any concern who have not remarried and born, not before 02-07-1989 and not after 01-07-1995 can apply for OTA SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course posts.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold Degree from acknowledged University for Indian Military Academy, Officers' Training Academy, for Indian Naval Academy candidates must have gotten Degree in Engineering and a Degree from a recognized university (with Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering for AFA (Air Force Academy).

Application Fee:

General and OBC applicants have to pay Rs. 200/- for application fee, and ST/SC/ Female candidates are free from payment of the registration fee. Fee has to be paid in cash at any State Bank of India branch or can even be paid via online mode using Master/Visa debit or credit card of SBI or other subsidiaries of SBI.

Selection Process

Eligible applicants will be selected based on their performance in Written Test and Personality/Written Test.

How to Apply

Eligible Candidates can apply through online mode, is actually they need to go to UPSC website www.upsconline.nic.in. Applications should be submitted on the internet on or before 24-06-2013.

Instructions for Online Application:

1. Applicants have to scan their signature and photo and make the payment before commencing the application procedure.
2. Go to www.upsconline.nic.in to commence the application procedure.
3. Click on ‘Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC’ link and choose the CDS (Combined Defense Services) Examination II link.
4. Choose the Part-I Registration link that includes personal details. Fill up all details carefully.
5. After filling up all the details of Part-I, select ‘Continue’ button.
6. This will give you your Registration ID, keep it for further use.
7. To complete Part-II of Application, Date of Birth and Registration Number must be entered.
