PRLog -- MediaCrest, a PortlandOregon business has created a unique gift plaque for churches. It comes in two sizes 11 and 5 inches. These plaques make a great gift for new members because they’re displayed in the home for years. It makes a statement to the world, that this is a “Christian home”.
Most churches offer new visitor gifts, few churches currently offer new member gifts, says Fritz Richard, marketing director. A study published by The George Washington University titled ‘The Power of Recognition - it’s not always about the money’. The research found that 57 percent of employees are more interested in the underlying message behind the reward, and are considerably less motivated by monetary stimulus.
“We are hoping that, churches embrace the concept of new member gifts. It’s a great way to welcome a new member and it shows how much the church cares for them.” says Mr. Richard.
Roger Dawson, a well known speaker on persuasion techniques says, “Creating an obligation is one of the most powerful ways to influence people”.
In his ground breaking book “Influence”
Robert B. Cialdini, Ph.D. writes about gift giving as a means to influence positive behavior.
