MASON, Ohio - Aug. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- KWCUSA is close to wrapping up the 2013 Season.  A few state championships are wrapping up this month including North Carolina and Florida and two of four regionals will be completed. Two more regional championships in September and the KWCUSA National Championship at Black Oak Casino October 3, 4, and 5 and then we can look forward to the Karaoke World Championships (http://www.kwc.fi/) in Finland November 21-24.  The only way to qualify for this season is via online entry and time is running out. If singers would like to submit online entries go to https://www.kwcusa.net/2013onlineentry.html .

As the 2013 season comes to a close, the new 2014 season begins September 1st and new venues have begun to sign up.  Venues that sign up now can actually run a fall and a spring season so they can get two bangs for the buck. Earlier competitions help to build on the excitement at the end of the season and create more competitors.

As each regional is completed KWCUSA will look to lock down venues and dates for the new season. Current venues will have preference over new venues for regional and national events.  KWCUSA is determined to complete this process for the new season as early as October 1st, then move on to locking down state venues.

Wendell Payne, President of KWCUSA says, “It has been a rewarding and challenging year. We lined up great regional and national venues earlier than ever and the awareness of the competition continues to grow. We got late prize support from some sponsors and already are working on 2014 sponsorships. Our goal is to grow our public awareness at the local level and have venues in every state.”

In 2013 KWCUSA extended the competition to under -17 age group and plans to have the national championship in May or June 2014 in the Cincinnati Area.  KWCUSA hope to have that announcement shortly.

Venues that wish to sign up please go to http://www.kwcusa.net/signup.htm

KWCUSA will extend the state director program to all states for the 2014 season. People interested in becoming a state director should go to http://www.kwcusa.net/director.php

Singers compete at the local level and then advance through state, regional, and finally the national competition at Black Oak Casino in Tuolumne, California. One male and one female rise to the top and are sent by KWCUSA to Finland with paid Hotel and Airfare along with $1,000.00 cash. But the real reward is the Karaoke World Championship experience. This competition is a world class event and friends share the event around the world for years to come.
