CERRITOS, Calif. - Aug. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- From Aug. 1 to Sept 30, 2013, the Cerritos Library (Cerritos, California, USA) will host an exhibition that provides a modern look at Art Nouveau – a style of art popularized in the late 1800s by Louis Comfort Tiffany, most famous for his stained glass lampshades – with a display of Tiffany-inspired gemstone creations from TSG 1895 USA™, an international company headquartered in Cerritos.

The TSG 1985 USA™ display, located on the first floor, includes three museum-quality gemstone table lamps – based on original Tiffany designs – plus a  backlit art nouveau wall art created not with stained glass, but with polished gemstones, including jade and agate. The TSG 1895 USA™ exhibit features some of Tiffany’s most renowned and recognizable designs – including his classic depictions of dragonflies, grapes, laburnum, magnolia, poppies, and wisteria. During the two-month exhibit, TSG 1895 USA™ will display different table lamps, floor lamps, and backlit wall art every few weeks – to give library patrons an opportunity to view a wide variety of Art Nouveau designs. Admission to the exhibit is free.

TSG 1895 USA™ has developed an extensive catalog of one-of-a-kind gemstone products that meet exacting Tiffany standards. Led by Ms. Elaine Guo, a master artist with two decades’ experience designing and creating fine art lamp products based on Tiffany designs, TSG 1895 Studio artisans handcraft a wide variety of gemstone lamps, backlit gemstone wall art, and brass lamp bases in a range of designs and sizes. All TSG 1895 USA™ gemstone products are unique, high-value, collectible, limited edition, and investment quality – and each comes with a certificate of authenticity that establishes its value and origin as a limited edition fine art collectible. And, unlike traditional stained glass Tiffany lamps, TSG 1895 USA™ artisan creations are completely lead-free.

TSG 1895 USA™ principal Sunny Ooi explains that the exhibition at the Cerritos Library is an honor, adding, “We welcome the opportunity to share our artisan creations with the library’s patrons – and introduce the iconic Art Nouveau style and Louis Comfort Tiffany’s designs to art lovers of all ages, especially students.”

Located at 18025 Bloomfield Avenue, Cerritos, CA 90703, the Cerritos Library is open seven days a week (M-F 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Sat. 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sun. 1-5 pm.). Visit http://menu.ci.cerritos.ca.us/ for more information.
