The Initial Quality Study is an annual survey that works by measuring the number of problems in 2013 cars and trucks that are reported by the buyers 90 days after purchase. This provides an amazing guide for consumers when it comes to deciding on the next vehicle to purchase. 

The study based the results off of the responses from more than 83,000 purchasers and lessees of 2013 model year vehicles. This year’s study saw a redesign for 2013 that provides manufacturers with information  they can use to quickly identify problems and drive improvements.

Chevy had five models that ranked as segment award winners; the Camaro for the midsize sporty car category, the Impala for large car category, the Tahoe for the large CUV category, the Silverado HD for the large heavy-duty pickup category, and the Avalanche for the large light-duty pickup category.
