Grove Dodge Celebrates as Chrysler Unleashes the 2014 Chasis Cab Lineup

Meticulously crafted for extreme daily work, the Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500 Chassis Cab trucks are true examples of engineering for capability. Packing a much larger performance punch for 2014, the Ram Chassis Cab will introduce a new 6.4L V8 gasoline engine as well as a host of “best-in-class” accolades.

The 2014 Ram Chassis Cab 3500, 4500, and 5500 will all arrive standard with the new 6.4L HEMI V8 gasoline engine mated to an available 66REF 6-speed automatic transmission or the AS66RC 6-speed automatic transmission that features class-exclusive gasoline engine left-or-right PTO capability. The new 6.4L V8, which features variable-valve timing (VVT) and Fuel Saver cylinder deactivation, is estimated to deliver up to 410 hp at 5,600 rpm.

Other engine options include the legendary 5.7L HEMI V8 for the 3500 Chassis Cab as well as two engine variants based on the 6.7L Cummins diesel for the 4500 and 5500 models.

The 3500 Chassis Cab arrives with a new three-link front suspension for increased load-carrying capability, producing a best-in-class towing capacity of 13,426 kg (29,600 lb). The 3500 also comes equipped with a front axle disconnect for increased fuel efficiency and welcomes a segment exclusive, newly standard selective tire pressure display as well.

The 2014 Ram Chassis Cab trucks will be available in ST, SLT, and Laramie trim levels. Three grille designs will be offered as will a premium headlamp that features bi-functional halogen projectors and LEDs for park/turn and side markers. Drivers may also add the class-exclusive backup camera, and those that opt for a diesel powertrain will find an unsurpassed warranty of five-years/160,000 km.
