Hawaii Skateboarder Jordyn Barratt Invited To Compete at Van Doren Invitational, US Open Of SurfingJordyn Barratt, from Haleiwa, Hawaii, has been selected to compete at the Van Doren Invitational at the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach. Barratt is one of only three amateurs to compete against the world’s top professional skateboarders.
Jordyn Barratt, a fourteen year old girl who grew up in Haleiwa, Hawaii, has been selected for the honor of showing her skills at this prestigious event. She now splits her time training in Southern California and Hawaii. With a $13,000 purse at stake for this talented group of fifteen girls, Barratt is one of only three amateurs invited to compete against the world’ Barratt is making her way through the competition circuit, having been invited to one other invite-only event earlier this year, the Vans Girl Combi Pool Classic this winter, she took 3rd place, and soon after she placed 2nd at the Hurley Australian Bowlriders Championship, her first international competition.
