Hope HealthCare Services hosts open house for Naples volunteers

NAPLES, Fla. - July 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Hope HealthCare Services welcomes the public to a volunteer open house Thursday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to noon. Open to both current and prospective adult and teen volunteers, their friends and family members, the open house session will take place at the Hope Care Center at 13020 Livingston Road in Naples.

The open house includes information on Hope’s extensive list of volunteer opportunities and a tour of the Hope Care Center, which offers services including the Adult Day Health program and PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly). Both programs enable seniors to join their peers at one of five Hope Care Centers throughout Southwest Florida to receive services ranging from comprehensive medical and dental care to social activities, games, crafts and meals.

Hope’s volunteer program is open to anyone 14 years of age or older. More than 1,200 volunteers currently share their time with others through Hope.

There are many ways to volunteer. Members of the Hope Volunteer Department help individuals determine how to best use their talents and abilities to find a volunteer position that suits them, including office clerical assistance, patient transportation and bedside care. Volunteers also serve in Hope’s specialized programs, such as art and music therapy, Paws for Hope pet therapy, Hope’s Honor Guard – part of the VALOR program for military veterans – the Hope Chest Resale Store, hospitality and much more.
